Love this place and my cell phone pix don’t do justice to the space and light. Took an excellent Zumba class here with Lydia. I was especially impressed in the way she carefully adjusted that energetic dance form to a slightly older group of women yet it was still super rigorous and fun. Thank you!
Decent machines and equipment. The lack of gym edicat is astonishing. Not only at this rec center but also South as well. People have no idea to behave nor gym knowledge and or experience. The lack of consideration by these types of people truly makes working out a displeasure. No matter the age, mainly too you or too old, should have to go through an orientation to become competent in how to be in a gym setting
Nice facility in general, great indoor pool, friendly and helpful staff. The downside is the cardio and weight area is small with very limited equipment. If you're more interested in the pool or tennis, then this should be a good fit for you. Entrance fees for both residents and non-residents are fairly reasonable.
The hours are so limiting.. Really wish it was open more. Both 8 pm weekdays and 4 pm weekends is way too early to close.
It's a nice community center. I think it's a little over priced as other community centers 10m away are 3 dollars cheaper. It is quite clean and the ladies behind the desk are very helpful and cheerful at 6am! Great place to swim, not many people in the pool.
Poorly staffed, not enough life guards to keep the pool open every day and only one Aqua Aerobics teacher. Classes are cancelled instead of hiring or training new instructors.
Visited on New Year's day when they had a free day and a ton of people in there. The staff was really courteous and helpful and eager to help with everything. I got a tour of the workout stations. She was super helpful and was upfront that this was her first tour. She explained every single one of the machines and demonstrated herself first and then had me try them out.
You would think a volunteer-run place would chaotic but this was extremely organized and orderly.
Also, kid friendly and a lot of activites for children to do there.
Although not the biggest pool, it is one of my favorites for swim practice. If you’re coming in to swim laps, the water isn’t frigid but not too warm, if you’re coming in for fun with your child, it can sometimes get crowded but otherwise it’s great, but I’d recommend North Boulder Rec Center for a fun swim. The lifeguards are great and the instructors are nice to the youngens trying to learn how to swim.
I love the facility. Staff is welcoming and warm. Happy, beautiful and lovely place.
The family changing rooms could be kept cleaner...
It's a really great value for money.
Plenty of stuff to do for kids and adults alike.
